Master Silver and Goldsmith Jacques Fabian has been educating people in the art of silver smithing and jewellery making for 30 years and established the largest privately owned teaching facility in Australia.
Apprenticed in 1977 and then embarking into this fascinating world of jewellery and object design, manufacturing as he travelled the world studying his craft and making unique pieces which are housed in private collections all over the world.
Jacques still works extensively on a commission base designing and manufacturing in Gold, Silver and other precious metals. Designing individual Jewellery and objects.
Jacques does not repeat any of his work. He will from time to time further develop a design if requested, however his works are generally one off collectors items.
Here in Adelaide, Jacques work is displayed and is exceptionally compelling. The way he puts his emotion on canvas is both elusive and confronting at the same time. It is said that Jacques has no particular one style, he is outside the square of what is expected.
